Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced professional, this is a MUST DO! I can’t believe how much you’ve rekindled my enthusiasm and dredged up the vast treasure trove of explorations, experiments, discoveries, and gleeful dancing around my studio with a paintbrush between my teeth, that had been buried under a mountain of daily burdens, frustrations, disappointments, betrayals, self-doubts, etc. over the past 35 years!!! In a couple of sessions you’ve reminded me that I started doing this because the Process is as essential to me as breathing and vital to my mental and emotional wellbeing!

Joy can be rekindled in just “playing” again, a point that often gets ignored when one considers oneself mature/experienced/professional. You apologize for restating these basics, such as “I remind myself that I’m not making a work of art, a finished piece”, or “turn your work around so it doesn’t become precious”, or “It’s just a piece of paper and ink (paint, thread, etc)”, and especially, “What if…” and “I’m just playing around…”. Don’t apologize!  That’s exactly what I need to hear!
