Journal Making and Intuitive Play - Live Playdate Replay
Playdate with BB – June 6, 2026 (Replay)
Replay this creative playdate with BB! In this recorded session, you'll watch her process up close as she makes a simple art journal from scratch. BB walks through tearing and sizing pages for variety, adding pre-work layers of gesso, pencil marks, tape, and resist materials before binding, then uses a simple pamphlet stitch to put it all together. From there, she dives straight into working in the journal — and two others she had on hand — layering paint, ink, collage papers, and mark making across multiple pages at once. Along the way, she answers questions, talks through intuitive color decisions, and shares her process for working loosely without overthinking. An easygoing mix of tutorial, demo, and experimentation.
Think of this like a play along session with BB. Experimentation, play, asking "what if?" - and taking you along for the ride.
I say it's not an official class because I don't have a lesson plan.. However this playdate is over two hours of me talking through my process and teaching as I work intuitively. You get to see what works, what doesn't, and everything in between.
