What’s a Playdate with BB?
Think of it as a cozy, creative hangout. Bring whatever you’re working on—your journal, stitching, painting, or even just a cup of coffee—and join BB (that's me!) in the studio. You’ll see what I'm currently creating, chat with other participants in the gallery, and soak up the relaxed, inspiring vibe.
This is a chance to connect, share, and simply enjoy making art together. Expect an easygoing mix of conversation, creativity, and community.
I will have my desk camera on, so you can see what I'm working on. I don't consider this a "formal" class with a supply list and lesson plan, but I'll talk through my thought process as I create and answer any questions you might have.
Approximately 2 hours. The replay will be available within 48 hours and will include multiple views, for example: speaker view, gallery view, and a high quality overhead view of BB's tabletop. Lifetime access to the replay included. Limited number of seats available.
When: March 28, 2026 at 12PM - 2PM CDT
Where: Zoom
Side note: I usually decide what I'm going to work on a couple of days ahead of time. Once I have a loose idea, I'll let you know in case you want to play along with me during the live session. View a preview of previous playdate here
The time has come to decide what I plan to work on for this play date! Please remember, that this is not an official class with step by step instruction or tutorials. However, you will still learn a lot from this session! You’ll be able to see what I’m working on the whole time, hear insights into how I think as I create, and ask any questions you might have! Plus, hangout with some really cool people 😊 Please know, that you may work on anything that you would like or feel free to use my inspiration as a jumping off point and we can explore the topic together!
Topic for March 28 Play date: intuitive stitching!
When deciding what I wanted to work on for this upcoming play date, I knew that I wanted something that was a little bit slower paced. Since coming home from vacation at the beginning of this week I’ve been settling back into a “regular” routine. I hurt my ankle while away, so I’ve also been trying to stay off of my feet as much as possible. Whenever I spend more time on the couch, stitching always feels like a comfort to me - it always feels so meditative.
While on my trip I started working on this stitching project, using the few fabric scraps and thread that I had with me. I always love the imagination that comes from having limited supplies. >
I felt inspired after we talked about a stitching project, that I worked on early in 2025, during the playdate on March 14. Even though I haven’t officially turned this project into “anything” - I have it hanging on my inspiration wall in my studio and love to admire it as I walk by. One day, it may get turned into a mounted wall hanging, but for now it’s serving its purpose. Here’s a photo of that project >
I took some time today to scroll through my camera roll to see what else popped out at me for inspiration. I look forward to seeing what we all create together on Saturday, I’m excited to have a starting point for inspiration to work from! Remember, you can work on any project you want, or just hang out!
